Beckhoff PCIe modules – highly integrated PCI Express plug-in cards

Beckhoff follows the trend towards small, compact Industrial PCs by implementing solutions in various control cabinet and Panel PCs. In order to be able to extend these PC series with additional interfaces without impacting on the design, Beckhoff developed very compact PCIe modules based on the PCI Express standard. The modules enable C6515, C6525 and C6930 control cabinet PCs and the CP62xx Panel PC series to be extended with additional interfaces such as Ethernet ports.

Beckhoff PCIe modules are based on a new definition of highly integrated PCI Express plug-in cards and follow the trend towards ever smaller PCs. Compared with PCI or PCIe plug-in cards the Beckhoff PCIe module is an industrial product that is optimised for industrial applications and firmly screwed to the inside of the PC via the plug connector bracket.

The basic configuration of the C6930-0020 control cabinet Industrial PC already has PCIe module slots. The following PCs can optionally be extended with PCIe module slots:
– CP62xx-xxxx-0030 | “Economy” built-in Panel PC
– C6515-0020 | Fanless built-in Industrial PC
– C6525-0020 | Fanless built-in Industrial PC

The 3½-inch CB3052 motherboard from Beckhoff reads up to four PCI Express channels and distributes the signals to the PCIe module slots or standard plug-in card slots, resulting in Industrial PCs with additional PCI or PCIe plug-in card slots:
