Press Release

27th March 2009
Beckhoff in Hall 9, Booth F06
Hanover Fair is worth a visit!

At Hanover Fair in Germany between 20 and 24 April 2009 Beckhoff will be present at two trade fair booths: in the “Industrial Automation” area and the new “Wind” leading trade fair. At its main booth in Hall 9, F06, Beckhoff will present its complete product range and numerous IPC, I/O, Motion and Automation product innovations.

The Control Panel range is expanded both “downwards” and “upwards” by new display sizes: 5.7" displays have been integrated into several Panel PC series and Ethernet Panels to form small operating and control units with a large variety of possible uses, from the intelligent replacement of switches in buildings to miniature controllers for machines. 24" panels will be presented as built-in and compact panels.

The compact C69xx control cabinet PC series is expanded by an Intel® Core™ Duo/Core™2 Duo-based version with RAID system for two SATA hard drive removable frames.

New measuring terminals for Scientific Automation

The Bus Terminal has long since ceased to be just a standard I/O system. High-precision measurement technology united with high processing speed enables the processing of demanding technical signals. New here is, among others, the Condition Monitoring terminal with IEPE interface (Integrated Electronics Piezo-Electric) to which accelerometers can be directly connected.

New Bus Coupler generation for EtherCAT Terminal system

The introduction of a new Bus Coupler generation allows the EtherCAT Terminal system to be used for an even wider range of applications. The ultra-fast I/O system with its large choice of terminals is now available for other fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet systems besides EtherCAT.

XFC for IP 67 applications

All EtherCAT Box modules from the IP 67 series feature an integrated direct interface to EtherCAT, so that the system’s high performance is retained right down to each I/O module. This opens up new possibilities in the “machine mount” IP 67 world: fast process data communication with XFC (eXtreme Fast Machine Control), high-precision measurement technology and integrated drive functions directly in the field.

AX5000 EtherCAT drives up to 170 A

On the occasion of the Hanover Fair, the AX5000 Servo Drive series has been expanded for rated motor currents up to 170 A. All devices feature EtherCAT as system bus and a multi-feedback interface. Particular application areas are the main spindles in machine tools, large lifting drives, electrical plastic injection molding machines and all applications in which hydraulic drive technology has been used up to now due to a lack of power. The AM3000 pole-wound Servomotor series is also being expanded by versions up to 230 Nm standstill torque.
